She enjoys an enviable international reputation and collaborates with the most renowned orchestras and conductors across the globe. “Among the world’s star soloists, she is as enthusiastic a listener as she is a sensitive and accomplished chamber music partner — as much as anyone could possibly be,” wrote The New York Times. Several times a year, Janine Jansen can also be heard at Schloss Elmau — as she is now, directly following her concerts at the Salzburg Festival. A Weekend with Michael Wollny

Music journalist Wolfgang Sandner described Michael Wollny as a “perfect piano master” in the FAZ newspaper, saying that he has everything you could expect from a perfect jazz pianist: virtuoso technique, imagination, discipline, sensuality and aesthetic sensibility. For two concerts, Wollny is now bringing in drummer Alexej Gerassimez for a first encounter and jazz saxophonist Emile Parisien to his side.

    72nd Chamber Music Week

    72nd Chamber Music Week

Since the 1950s, the Elmau Chamber Music Week has formed the heart of Schloss Elmau’s cultural program. On the occasion of the 200th anniversary of Beethoven’s death, the 72nd Chamber Music Week will focus particularly on his major chamber works: Beethoven’s five cello sonatas will be performed by cellist Daniel Müller-Schott and pianist Francesco Piemontes, as well as his violin sonatas in historically informed performance by the exquisite violinist Viktoria Mullova.
