In 2022, cello grandmaster Gautier Capuçon established his own foundation, the “Fondation Gautier Capuçon”, with the aim of supporting outstanding young artists in the early stages of their careers. Capuçon will be presenting some of his scholarship recipients in public masterclasses and concerts at Schloss Elmau on four consecutive days. He will play the opening concert himself, while in the masterclasses he will work with the young string players and pianists on major chamber music works, which will be presented in the subsequent concerts.
