Since the end of his classical singing career, he has been able to fully explore these areas again - on this evening with a beautiful selection of Christmas texts.

    When the famous Burgtheater actor Nicholas Ofczarek and the fantastic Austrian Musicbanda Franui bring Thomas Bernhard's novel “Holzfällen“ to the stage, a unique format will be created - with elements of music theater, reading, theater performance and radio play. Nikolaus Ofczarek will speak Thomas Bernhard's sentences in the midst of the Musicbanda, while the Musicbanda will be heard performing a specialty that has made them famous: celebrating funeral marches and funeral music.

The first concert of this major undertaking took Olafsson to the Elmau Concert Hall in August 2023. He is now returning there for a crowning finale, thus closing the arc of his journey to Bach at Schloss Elmau.
