    71st Chamber Music Week

    71st Chamber Music Week

Since the 1950s, the Chamber Music Week has been the heart of the cultural program at Schloss Elmau. This festival week was particularly shaped and reached a great artistic peak through the Amadeus Quartet and the composer Benjamin Britten, who visited Elmau many times and even premiered some works there. In the concerts of the 71st Chamber Music Week, alongside a rich repertoire of classical and Romantic chamber music by Mozart, Beethoven, Schubert, and Brahms, Britten's works will also be featured in honor of the 50th anniversary of his death in 2026.

with Ian Bostridge (tenor), Christian Tetzlaff (violin), Veronika Eberle (violin), David Fray (piano), Daniel Lozakovich (violin) et al.

Was macht Amerika aus?

Irish traditionals and works by Purcell, Vivaldi et al.

Wolfgang Haffner on his 50th stage anniversary

Wolfgang Haffner has been at home on every continent for five decades. He has played with the greatest jazz musicians and feels equally at home in a wide variety of styles. Anyone who has ever seen him live is captivated by his playing – he brings so much joy and positive energy to the stage. Schloss Elmau has long since become his second home. We are therefore celebrating his anniversary with two very special concerts.
