The Jewish Chamber Orchestra Munich was founded in 2005 as the Jakobsplatz München Orchestra by conductor Daniel Grossmann. Since then, under his artistic direction, it has developed a unique international profile and brought contemporary Jewish culture to life. In Schloss Elmau, the orchestra is dedicated to the composer Mieczyslaw Weinberg, who has appeared regularly in concert programmes in recent years, thanks to numerous advocates such as Gidon Kremer.

    "Zazie in the Metro"
    by Raymond Queneau

"Zazie in the Metro" is a thrillingly wild, playful and solidly narrated story about Paris, about the languages of everyday life and about the ravishing, adventurous, nine-times smart Zazie, who turns pretty much EVERYTHING upside down.

    "a trio experience"

When the Cuban pianist and composer Marialy Pacheco, the German singer and songwriter Max Mutzke and his brother, the trumpeter Menzel Mutzke meet, competence and musicality come together for an extraordinary pop concert. The title of the program sums up the concept: "a trio experience". As simple as it sounds, as concrete and comprehensible is what happens on stage: A public entertainment of three people in different constellations.

Strauss: violin sonata E flat major, Bach & Pärt

The award-winning gentlemen from "German hornsound" and "amarcord" present works for male voices and horn quartet, including Schubert's famous song "Nachtgesang im Walde" from the heart chamber of German Romanticism, always with a pinch of irony.
