Dear concert guests,
For hotel guests of Schloss Elmau, admission to all cultural events is included in the resort fee. You can register for the events online via “Book seats” here in the cultural calendar, by phone on +49 8823 18 260 or by text message to +49 1733 1122 77.
Permanent Residents of the region within a radius of 80 km (driving distance) are welcome to purchase tickets, subject to availability (hotels, guesthouses or vacation rentals do not count as a permanent address). Tickets can be purchased online via "Book seats" here in the cultural calendar.

    Piano Summit with Víkingur Ólafsson

    This piano summit brings three outstanding pianists to Schloss Elmau. The highlight and finale will be the concert by Icelandic piano star Víkingur Ólafsson. After his mammoth project of the Goldberg Variations, which he performed 88 times last season – including three times at Schloss Elmau – he will now devote himself to the triad of Ludwig van Beethoven's last three piano sonatas in this concert.

    Dance Retreat

    Dance Retreat

    Dancing makes you happy and keeps you young! Dancing has a long tradition at Schloss Elmau. At this dance retreat, you can learn new dance steps and improve your existing skills over four days in 90-minute group courses under the guidance of expert dance instructors.

    What to expect
    Daily dance classes (Mon – Thu: 16.00 – 17.30). Each course is dedicated to one dance
    Dance night (from 21.30): Thursday with live band (no registration required)

    Further information:
    The course level will be adapted to its participants, beginners welcome
    Please indicate for the course planning whether you are coming as a couple or traveling alone. Single travellers will be assigned (possibly same-sex) dance partners in advance. If the number of participants is uneven, we will contact you in good time.
    Private dance lessons can be booked through the cultural office.
    A hotel booking is required to take part in the dance courses.

    The fabulous young star Kian Soltani – winner of numerous prizes and chamber music partner of the great Daniel Barenboim, among others – is preparing a concert tour with the young award-winning pianist Benjamin Grosvenor and will play the opening concert at Schloss Elmau. Framed by Schubert and Shostakovich's great cello works, the programme includes a Persian work for cello and prepared piano.

    Schloss Elmau has been a meeting place for the international jazz scene for over 25 years. The “European Jazztival“ is the annual highlight and brings together big stars, first-class formations and the young international jazz scene over six festival days in the atmospherically illuminated concert hall, surrounded by a unique natural setting.

    With over 60 years in the music business, Siggi Loch has shaped and influenced the industry from its beginnings to the present day as a music manager and producer - as the youngest head of a major label, WEA (now Warner Music Europe), and as the oldest founder of the independent jazz label ACT. It is also his love of jazz that runs like a thread through his life. On this morning, Siggi Loch will talk about this love affair and numerous memories from his life.

    Martin T:son Engstroem, founder and director of the famous Verbier Festival in the Swiss Alps, presents outstanding young artists at the beginning of a great career alongside established musical personalities. The programme, which includes 15 solo, chamber music and orchestral concerts with the Verbier Festival Chamber Orchestra conducted by Gábor Takács-Nagy, is curated by his wife Blythe Teh Engstroem, who serves as co-artistic director of the festival.

    7st Chamber Music Week

    The Elmau Chamber Music Week has been at the heart of the cultural programme at Schloss Elmau since the 1950s. The Amadeus Quartet and the composer Benjamin Britten, whose 50th anniversary of death will be celebrated in 2026, have had a special influence on this festival week and brought it a great artistic flourish.He, the composer and performer Britten and his special relationship with Schloss Elmau, forms the central theme of the Chamber Music Week 2026, which will also feature great chamber music works by Mozart, Schubert and Shostakovich.
