Many people long to have more time for themselves. They yearn to take a deep breath again, just let themselves drift and find their inner peace. Each of us experiences individual challenges. Our duties change, as do as our responsibilities and family circumstances. That is why it is so important to create a good balance between doing and being.

This retreat is designed to enable you to take time out from the demands of everyday life. Hours or even just moments of leisure and doing nothing are important for recuperation, gaining insights, developing perspectives, gathering energy, staying healthy, and enjoying a sense of well-being. It is a valuable time in which we can reflect on ourselves and allow our body and mind to recuperate gently through mindfulness practices.
The retreat is unique for its combination of formal practice, theoretical deep-dives, and the incorporation of Schloss Elmau's cultural and natural resources . Every experience or encounter is a wonderful invitation to live and practice compassion.
Theoretical content:
Regulating the nervous system to reduce stress
Utilizing the brain's neuroplasticity for mental and physical stability
Compassion and mindfulness for more serenity, including in relationships
Ways to be kind to yourself: Techniques and Mechanisms
There will be daily sessions of bodywork and various meditation techniques. We practice sitting, lying down and in motion. For deeper self-reflection, there is the option of journaling.

Monday to Thursday
07:00 a.m. Tea ceremony in your room, prepare for the day
08:00 - 09:30 Morning session - A symbiotic blend of meditation and bodywork with Johannes Mikenda
10:00 - 11:00 Breakfast
12:00 - 2:30 pm: Lunch session - Theoretical content, various mindfulness practices, time for questions and sharing
15:00 - 15:50: Yoga class with Johannes Mikenda
16:00 - 18:00 : Time for spa, sauna and nature
18:00 - 20:00: Optional dinner
20:00 - 21:00: Evening session - Movement, meditation, sound journey or time for special requests
21:30 Tea in your room, journaling
