    At our Annual Yoga Summit, you have the opportunity not only to explore different forms of yoga practice, but also to deepen your knowledge and practice of yoga with outstanding teachers. They include Vinyasa yoga teacher and Kirtan musician David Lurey; Dr. Patrick Broome, yoga teacher to Germany's national soccer team, Kundalini yoga teachers Mitali Chatterjee-Ehrenbrand and Robert Ehrenbrand; and Johannes Mikenda, Advanced Jivamukti Teacher and Director of the Yoga Program at Schloss Elmau.

    After the classes, you can relax in the 40°C / 104°F onsen pool and with soothing massages, and swim outdoors in warm water in one of our infinity pools. Our restaurants also serve a fine selection of excellent vegan and vegetarian dishes.

    Grounding Vata: A Nervous System Regulation Retreat
    Immerse yourself in slow, safe and strengthening therapeutic yoga. This retreat offers Ayurvedic wisdom to soothe and nourish the nervous system. You will learn how to reduce Vata to feel more grounded, calm and focused.
    Vata is the Ayurvedic principle encompassing movement, change, the nervous system, mental activity, and pain. When our Vata is high, we may feel anxious, sleepless, distracted, experience joint pain, feel stressed, and "up in the air."
    Join Barbra to get grounded with some earthy practices. She will teach you how to adapt your yoga practice to reduce Vata. The physical practice will focus on the lower back, hips, and legs, featuring specific biomechanics for a more therapeutically aligned asana practice. This retreat program also includes pranayama and meditation.
    We will discuss Vata from a mind-body perspective and how to notice when Vata is increasing. You will leave this retreat knowing which movement practices, foods, lifestyle habits, and routines help reduce stress on the nervous system.
    You will gain a better understanding of how to take care of yourself in demanding times and a greater capacity for self-compassion.
